Day plan

Thursday, September 3

Finish
Morning
5:40Wake, kiss LA on the forehead
5:42Fill water bottle, drink from it
5:45Feed cats, fill their water
5:55Scoop litter
6:00Cold shower, one minute
6:02Dry off, get dressed
6:08Pack the post-gym clothes. You do not come home again.
6:15Vape now. Not before.
6:20Leave for the gym, 25 minutes
6:45Workout, one hour
7:45Shower and dress at the gym, 15 minutes
8:00Review the Vineyards questions, 15 minutes
8:15Leave the gym, 10 minutes to Save-On Lakeshore
8:25Prescription. Pharmacy opens at 8:00, so it is already open.
8:35Leave for Vineyards, 20 minutes
8:55At Vineyards, 726 Valley Road. Five minutes early, on purpose.

Wake is not a choice, it is the answer to an equation. 8:55 arrival, minus 20 to drive from Save-On, minus 10 at the pharmacy, minus 10 from the gym, minus 15 to review, minus 15 to shower, minus the hour lifting, minus 25 to drive, minus 40 of routine. That is 5:40.

The work day
9:00 to 10:00
T1 Nothing running

Vineyards walkthrough

The only fully offline hour of the day. No tabs are running because nothing has been kicked off yet, and nothing should be: an agent generating while you walk a building is 45 minutes of output you cannot look at until 10:10 anyway.

Land at Blaze's

Kick before you sit. R1 is five groups in five tabs and they take 45 minutes to generate, which is almost exactly the time you owe Blaze. The conversation is not a break, it is the cover for wave one.

P waits. P unblocks nothing. Reviewing it before C, G, K and N would hold R2 back 20 minutes for no gain, so it slides into the next block where there is dead clock to spend it against.

R2 out, H down

H is the whole afternoon. I and J are blocked on H alone, and nothing else in R2 unblocks anything. If H is not reviewed by 1:20 the handoff slips, and everything below moves with it.

The handoff

1:20Kick R3 in Tab 1: I and J
1:20Kick MSF-02 in Tab 3
1:20Kick MSF-08 in Tab 4

MSF-02 and MSF-08 do not wait for MSF-01 to close. They wait for nothing. Four hours of clock from 1:20 lands at 5:20; four hours from 3:20, when MSF-01 actually closes, lands at 7:20 and does not exist. Fire all three from Blaze's kitchen table before you pack up, and the drive home is 40 minutes of free generation on three lanes.

Last 40 at Blaze's

Three lanes running, none of them wanting you yet. This is the one block today with no queue behind it.

2:00Drive home, 40 minutes. Three lanes generating the whole way.

Yash

Thirty minutes, nothing else open. MSF-02 and MSF-08 keep generating through it and their blocks queue up for 5:00, which is why the last block of the day is the one that runs over.

5:00 to 7:00
T2 LiLo in the Home, FAQ page T3 MSF-02 T4 MSF-08

The crunch

MSF-02 and MSF-08 80, Enterprise 20, LiLo in the Home 20, FAQ page 15. That is 135 minutes of demand in a 120 minute block. Their clock ran out at 5:20, so from 5:20 on nothing is generating and every minute here is yours.

The 15 minute overage is LiLo in the Home and the FAQ page. Kept on the page so it is tracked, not so it is done. If both MSF lanes want you at once, they win and the website work slides to Friday.
If it goes sideways, cut from the bottom
  1. Six home page cards. Already cut. Two hours of clock and a full hour of your hands, and the image work cannot be parallelized. It was the only item big enough to close a 75 minute gap on its own.
  2. LiLo in the Home section. 20 minutes. Second day running it sits near the bottom, which is worth noticing.
  3. FAQ page. 15 minutes. Cheapest thing on the list, so it goes last, and it is the one most likely to actually survive.

Cutting all three still leaves the day at 395 of 415. There is no version of Thursday with slack in it, only versions with a smaller debt.
